Baylor Counseling Center Will Host Annual “Hope, Peace, Love” Valentine’s Day Event

WACO, Texas (Feb. 12, 2018) — The Baylor University Counseling Center will host its third annual Hope, Peace, Love event on Wednesday, Feb. 14, (Valentine’s Day) to raise awareness for mental health.

The Counseling Center will provide resources and programs that bring awareness to areas such as suicide prevention; reframing awareness of mental health; overcoming depression; anxiety and stress management; mindfulness and mediation; healthy relationships; and self-esteem.
Events will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in two campus locations – Baylor Sciences Building and the Student Union Building (SUB).

Events at the Baylor Sciences Building include:
• Coffee, donuts and food trucks
• Healthy Relationship Bingo
• Spin-to-Win prize giveaway
• Counseling Center information table
• Love the Run You're With 5K Sign-Ups
• Mobile Mind Body Lab to learn relaxation techniques

Events at the SUB include:
• Hope Box Raffle, 1 to 3 p.m.
• "Trolls" Movie, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the SUB Den. Popcorn and prize giveaways will be included.
• "Understanding Anxiety" Discussion, 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., Room 209. Lunch will be provided.
• Make a Valentine, Make a Difference, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the SUB Cub Lounge
