Former Waco Pastor to Lead Bible Conference Oct. 10-11

WACO, Texas - Baylor University will host the Baylor Bible Conference Friday and Saturday, Oct. 10-11, with several speakers and events scheduled during the two-day session.
Dr. Jim Johnson, former pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Waco, will be the worship leader of the conference. Johnson now serves as pastor of Dunwoody Baptist Church in Atlanta, Ga.
Baylor religion faculty members Dr. Daniel McGee and Dr. Mikeal Parsons will serve as Bible study leaders during the conference. They will discuss parables unique to the Gospel of Luke.
Spouses of participants may attend a special conference held in conjunction with the Bible conference. The spouses conference will focus on the subject, "Dealing With Conflict - With Self, With Spouse, With Children, With Extended Family, With Church Staff and Leadership."
Bible conference participants will meet in Miller Chapel of the Tidwell Bible Building and spouses will meet in the Bobo Baptist Student Center. Conference participants will attend the Baylor-Nebraska football game on Oct. 11 free of charge.
