WACO, Texas - Collinsville native Rebecca Kennedy has recently accepted a position with the Baylor University Baptist Student Ministry (BSM) as director of the Baylor Religious Hour Choir.

She is the daughter of Eddie and Dora Street of Collinsville and a 1983 graduate of Collinsville High School. At Collinsville high, Kennedy participated in the band, basketball, Future Homemakers of America and served as an officer in the student council.

Kennedy came to Texas in 1995. She has taught choir at Tennyson Middle School in Waco and classical guitar part-time at Navarro College in Corsicana. She also has served as a choral music representative for Word Inc.

Teaching on a college campus fulfills a dream, Kennedy said.
