Baylor Office of Admission Services Hires New Staff

July 31, 1997

The Baylor University Office of Admission Services recently hired Samantha Doak and Dan Pellegrino as admissions counselors.
Doak has completed her course work at Baylor and will graduate Aug. 16 with a degree in speech communications. She is the daughter of Jim and Donna Doak of Waco.
A 1993 graduate of Midway High School, Doak earned recognition as a member of the National Honor Society. Working for Baylor fulfills a dream of supporting a service oriented institution, she said.
"I always wanted to work for a non-profit organization and Baylor is a great non-profit organization," Doak said.
Pellegrino graduated from Baylor in May with a degree in biology and chemistry. As a student, Pellegrino served in Student Foundation, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and pole vaulted for the track team for two years. A native of Blue Spring, Mo., Pellegrino said he did not plan on attending Baylor, but a strong financial aid package and a good recruiter made a lasting impression on him. Pellegrino hopes he also can make a positive impression on prospective students.
"When I went to a college night as a student, I thought the guy from Baylor was a nice guy," Pellegrino said. "I want to be able to make a good impression on the students I meet."
