April 22, 1997

Fashion design students in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Baylor University will host a style show at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26, in Room 213 in the Mary Gibbs-Jones Family and Consumer Sciences building on the Baylor campus. The show will feature the clothes of renowned designer and native Texan Todd Oldham.
Additionally, fashion design students at the university will show their own clothing designs. "The students have been working on these garments the entire year," said Dr. Judith Lusk, professor of consumer and family science. "They will show everything from sportswear to contemporary clothes to professional dress. All of the garments by our students that will be shown have been entered in design competitions."
People attending the style show can register to win more than $1,000 worth of door prizes. Some of the prizes donated include a Todd Oldham suit, men's ties, jewelry and gift accessories such as picture frames. Brunch-type refreshments will be served from 10:30-11 a.m. and the style show will begin at 11 a.m.
Tickets to the style show are $3.
