WACO, Texas (Sept. 24, 2013) - The Institute for Air Science at Baylor will welcome aerobatic pilots Chip Lamb and Kirby Chambliss from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26 in the Marrs McLean Science Building Room 101, 1214 S. Fourth St.

Lamb, president of Trojan Phlyers Inc., and Chambliss, who flies as part of the Red Bull Team at the Red Bull Air Race series, will be in town to fly at the Heart of Texas Airshow, for which the Baylor Institute for Air Science is a sponsor.

Debby Standefer, president of The Heart of Texas Airshow, said the men will share personal experiences with students.

"They will both talk about their aviation backgrounds and careers," she said. "Things like how they started, what they've done, what inspired them and how students can go forth with their own careers."

Before the men speak, a video will be shown that showcases their performances.

"The goal is for the students to be inspired," Standefer said.

After the speaking, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and get autographs.

The Heart of Texas Airshow will be an all-day event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28. It will be held at the Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Airport at 3801 Campus Drive in Waco.
