June 19, 1996

The Friends '96 Mississippi Baptist camp will be held at Baylor University June 22-28.

The camp met at Baylor for the first time in 1990 and returned in 1992 and 1994. Friends '96 marks the fourth time Baylor has hosted the event.

Youths from seventh grade to college from churches all over Mississippi will attend the camp.

According to Charles Nikolic, director of Friends '96, the camp is designed specifically for worship, the study of God's word, fellowship and fun.

Students will attend worship times with Dave Busby, a youth communicator from Minnesota, at 9 a.m., daily, in Waco Hall.

Keith Naylor and Ken Freeman, both youth pastors also will speak during the week. Michael Tyson, Anna Hutto and Kelly Godsey will be the musicians for the camp.

On Sunday, June 23, Jessica Simpson, a musician and speaker, will speak to the students.

Christian music group Point of Grace also is scheduled to perform.
