These words of former Baylor University President Samuel Palmer Brooks will be in the minds of Baylor students as they mark the completion of their studies during spring commencement exercises on May 17-18. Baylor President Ken Starr will preside over the three ceremonies, which will be held at the Ferrell Center, 1900 S. University Parks Drive.

WACO, Texas (May 10, 2013) -- Sunless tanning -- whether with lotions, bronzers or tanning pills -- has been promoted as an effective substitute to dodge the health risks of ultraviolet rays, but if the products don't provide the perfect tan, young women likely will not use them, according to a Baylor University researcher.

WACO, Texas (May 3, 2013) - Brent Salter, a senior international studies and journalism major from Bulverde, Texas, is one of four Baylor students and recent graduates who have been selected to receive the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. Salter received the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) and will spend the 2013-2014 academic year teaching English at a university in Moldova.

WACO, Texas (May 3, 2013) - Baylor University alumna and current graduate student Leigh Ann Ganzar of Littleton, Colo., is one of four Baylor students and recent graduates who have been selected to receive the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. A 2011 Baylor biology graduate and current master's candidate in community health education (MPH), Ganzar received the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) and will spend the 2013-2014 academic year in Brazil teaching English to university students.

WACO, Texas (May 3, 2013) - Taylor Kohn, a senior University Scholar from Wichita, Kan., is one of four Baylor students and recent graduates who have been selected to receive the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship. As a Fulbright recipient, Kohn will pursue his master of philosophy degree in instrumentation at the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.

The students will perform at this year's International Trombone Festival June 26-29, where winners will be announced.
