Black gospel music
Bob Darden is an associate professor in the department of journalism, public relations and new media. He is the author of more than two dozen books and hundreds of magazine articles and is the director of Baylor's Black Gospel Music Restoration Project, former gospel music editor for Billboard Magazine and author of "People Get Ready: A New History of Black Gospel Music."
With over 30 years of journalism experience, Mr. Darden has been interviewed and features on NPR's "All Things Considered," "Tapestry" (Canadian Broadcasting Corp.) and "Fresh Air." Mr. Darden earned a bachelor of science in education focusing on journalism and art and a master of arts in journalism
