Baylor's Response to West: Selected News Coverage

Baylor University was honored to serve as the site of the April 25 memorial service to remember the 12 brave first responders who perished in the April 17 explosion in the nearby town of West, Texas. The processional on University Parks Drive and memorial service in the Ferrell Center - organized by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the Texas Line of Duty Death Task Force - was covered by numerous media organizations.

A line-up of acclaimed singer/songwriters have come together to create a charity album for the Baylor University West Relief Fund. Baylor graduate Robbie Seay helped start the initiative '#SongsForWest' which contains 45 songs from artists including All Sons & Daughters, Derek Webb, Charlie Hall, Shaun Groves and more.
