The Mayborn is proud to host Baylor's Japanese Student Association to celebrate the new season with a Japanese Spring Festival on Saturday, April 18 from 11am to 4pm.
The Spring Festival is also known as the "Sakura" Festival, taking its name from the Japanese word for cherry blossoms. These colorful flowers are a symbol of the temporary nature of life in the Japanese culture and are celebrated as a sign of spring in festivals around the world.
Join us in Waco's very own Spring Festival with exciting performances and demonstrations organized by the Japanese Student Association.
Watch a Taiko drum performance and enjoy demonstrations of origami, karate, and a traditional tea ceremony. Participate in lots of fun games and learn about Japanese culture while celebrating the season at the Mayborn!
