Top Mathematics Students For 2012-2013 HonoredJuly 15, 2013
The annual April Honors Convocation ceremony saw three students from the Department of Mathematics honored for their extraordinary achievements. These students were Westin King, Kelsey Carpenter, and Adam Telatovich.

At the spring banquet, the Department also recognized four Outstanding Mathematics Majors for 2012-2013. The recipients were Adam Telatovich, Evan Bauer, Westin King, and Kevin Ruggeberg.

Adam and Westin will begin graduate school this fall at, respectively, Penn State University and Texas A&M. Evan will begin graduate school in Physics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Kevin has accepted a position interning as an actuarial technician for the firm Lewis & Ellis in Richardson, Texas. Kelsey, who graduated from Baylor with a 4.0 GPA, is moving to Palo Alto, California after she gets married this summer to her fiancé , Jarek Lancaster. Jarek, who will graduate this December in Psychology, is a linebacker on the Stanford Cardinal football team. Kelsey hopes to begin an internship this fall for an actuarial company in the greater San Francisco area.
