Student Exhibition Awards

The Martin Museum of Art at Baylor University is pleased to announce the Juror's Choice award winners for the Annual Art Student Exhibition. This year's show was juried by Robin Dru Germany, associate professor of art at Texas Tech University. Professor Germany works with traditional and digital photography and has won numerous awards for her work including a regional NEA, and two awards for artists from the Polaroid Corporation. As juror, she selected approximately 75 works from the pool of submissions that are now displayed in the museum. Out of these 75 she selected the top eight pieces as Juror's Choice Award recipients. The winners were: James Warren for his print entitled "Vine". Andrew Green for his wood piece "Precarious" and his steel piece "Marble Maze". Stephen Taylor for his chalk piece "Inside's Out", as well as Andrew Mustard for his textile piece "Hueco Tanks". Emily Ross for her oil paint piece "Spencer at Christmastime," Al Milwa for her fiber piece "Yin Yang," and Jared Tseng for his untitled oil piece.

The Martin Museum of Art is located in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center on the Baylor University campus. Hours are 10-5 Tuesday through Friday, and 12-5pm on Saturday. The museum is closed during university holidays. Admission is free and all events are open to the public, unless specified.
