Martin Museum of Art to Loan Permanent Collection Painting
We are extremely pleased to announce that a painting from the Martin Museum of Art Permanent Collection, Ballerina Vera Fokina, by Nicolai Fechin, will be on exhibition at The Museum of Russian Art in Minneapolis, Minnesota, from August 18, 2012, until January 20, 2013. The exhibition, Nicolai Fechin: From Kazan to Taos, is produced by the Foundation for International Arts & Education of Bethesda, Maryland, and features paintings on loan from Russian and American museums and private collections. Painted in 1927 in New York City, this five foot tall portrait is of Vera Fokina, dancer and wife of the famous Russian dancer Mikhail Fokine. The Martin Museum of Art is located in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center on the Baylor University campus. NEW HOURS are 10am-6pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. 10am-7:30pm on Thursday. 10am-4pm on Saturday. 12-4pm on Sunday. The museum is closed during university holidays.
