Yih-Wen Kuo
Yih-Wen Kuo earned his undergraduate degree in industrial technology from the National Taiwan Normal University in 1981 and his M.F.A. from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He is currently an Associate Professor at Northern Illinois University, DeKalb. His work has evolved out of the traditional concept of the vessel, but he is not interested in making functional pots. He tends to produce simple, universal forms because they evoke multi-dimensional meaning.
