Jordan Shoesmith
Jordan Shoesmith became the first Dowdy Intern in January when he returned from a study semester abroad in Scotland. Jordan graduated in May with a degree in International Studies and Economics and will attend graduate school in the fall at the University of Texas. He will study energy and earth resources with a concentration in policy and law. While at Poage, Jordan worked with the papers of Jack Hightower and assisted on other projects.

He met John and Sarah Dowdy on several occasions and expressed his appreciation to them for making this internship available to him, the experience of which he says, "made a wealth of difference in my life professionally, academically, and financially, the impact of which I will always remember, along with the Poage Library and the generous Dowdy family."
