Robert F. Darden Exhibition Gallery

Untitled - This was the original cartoon drawn by Robert Darden for the cover of his book Drawing Power: Knott, Ficklen, and McClanahan, Editorial Cartoonists of the Dallas Morning News. The book, originally his master's thesis in journalism, was published by Baylor University Press in 1983 and was the inspiration for this exhibition.

Untitled - This cartoon depicts Israel's Menachem Begin, President Jimmy Carter, and Egypt's Anwar Sadat attempting to harmonize during the time of the Camp David Agreements, which concluded on March 26, 1979. The Nobel Peace Prize would be jointly awarded to Sadat and Begin, but lasting peace in the Middle East is no closer now than it was back then.
