To the Baylor Community:
We would like to announce some big changes taking place on Monday, October 20, 2008, at the Baylor Sciences Building and the Central Libraries (Moody & Jones).
Later Hours at the BSB
Based on student input, the decision has been made to conduct a pilot project, for the rest of the fall semester, to extend the hours of the Baylor Sciences Building. The new hours will be as follows:
|Sunday||1 p.m. - Midnight|
|Monday||7 a.m. - Midnight|
|Tuesday||7 a.m. - Midnight|
|Wednesday||7 a.m. - Midnight|
|Thursday||7 a.m. - Midnight|
|Friday||7 a.m. - 10 p.m.|
|Saturday||7 a.m. - 10 p.m.|
In order to make the program a success, please assist us by leaving the building promptly at closing times.
Bring your Baylor ID to the BSB
After 10 p.m., the BSB will only be accessible through the South entrance (the entrance nearest the McLane Student Life Center) and will require swiping your Baylor ID card. This helps to ensure a more secure study environment.
Bring your Baylor ID to the Library, too
Beginning Oct. 20th, those wishing to access Moody and Jones will be required to swipe their Baylor ID cards to enter between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. This is to ensure only current Baylor students, faculty and staff are admitted to these buildings after 10 p.m. and improve the overall safety of our campus. Moody Library will continue to be the place on campus for 24 hour study, and hours of operation for the Central Libraries (Moody and Jones) will remain the same (www.baylor.edu/lib/hours).
Please remember to bring your ID card so that you can continue to access these facilities for your academic pursuits.
