Noted author and magazine editor Jon Meacham spoke to an overflow crowd Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Ferguson-Clark Author Lecture in the Mayborn Museum Complex. Approximately 430 guests attended the annual library fundraiser.

Meacham, author of The New York Times best seller, discussed 'Franklin and Winston: Leadership Issues for Today.' Meacham spoke for about an hour and then fielded questions from the audience. After the lecture, patron ticket holders enjoyed a buffet and book inscribing by the author.

Approximately $6,500 raised from the event will be used to purchase new furniture and equipment for the listening/viewing center in the Crouch Fine Arts Library on the third floor of Moody Memorial Library.
