On Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, W.R. Poage Legislative Library will host an open house in honor of the 50th anniversary of the assassinations of John F. Kennedy. Located on the Baylor campus, the open house will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in both W.R. Poage Library Exhibit Hall and Moody Memorial Library. Public remarks about the President will begin at 3 p.m.
The fall exhibit, John F. Kennedy: His Life - His Presidency - His Legacy marks the 50th anniversary of his assassination. Included in the exhibit are iconic covers from various magazines, Kennedy stamps, books, campaign materials, inauguration invitations and other memorabilia honoring Kennedy. It also takes a look into the Kennedy family, his short presidency and the issues addressed during his legacy.
The event is free and open to the public.
