This weekend, Baylor University Libraries will offer a variety of events in celebration of Baylor's 103rd Homecoming.
The Central Libraries will display a "Kick Off" exhibit featuring Baylor Football and Homecoming memorabilia, photos of head coaches and All-Americans, as well as honor the legendary 1980 Southwest Conference Championship team.
"Kick Off" will be displayed in the Moody Library concourse and Jones Library entrance through the end of the semester.
The Texas Collection will feature four displays to celebrate Baylor Homecoming. The main case will hold the shoulder mount of Joe College, one of Baylor's most famous mascots from the 1930s who is responsible for Sic 'Em, as well as the original Homecoming football from 1909.
Other cases will feature football programs from the 1980 season, music and lyrics to various Baylor songs, and images of Baylor mascots through the years.
All attendees will receive a Joe College souvenir postcard.
The Armstrong Browning Library and Museum will host a Homecoming Open House on Saturday, November 5 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided in the Cox Reception Hall.
