The METALab is a specialized instructional technology center for music applications. The lab is located in the Listening/Viewing Center of the Crouch Fine Arts Library. The lab is available for use during all regular Library hours (with a valid BearID), except when it is reserved for a class or seminar.
There are 12 student work stations in the lab, plus an instructor station, and each includes a computer and a MIDI keyboard controller. Two stations also have flatbed scanners. In addition to the software shared by all Central Libraries computers, the METALab computers have the following software applications installed:
