Memberships Help 103.3 FM Build A Habitat HomeApril 26, 2011
WACO, TX--103.3 KWBU FM, Waco's NPR teams up with Habitat for Humanity and Foxworth Galbraith to help build Waco Habitat's 25th Anniversary House (#135). Starting Thursday, April 28, through Friday, May 6, 2011 as 103.3 FM listeners call into the station, each membership donation over $100 garners two pieces of lumber from Foxworth Galbraith--500 pieces are needed to build the home--a goal of 250 memberships.
On June 4, 2011, the lumber will be used on Waco Habitat's 25th Anniversary House. Volunteers will help Habitat partner Fidencia build the home for herself and her five children. The house will be located in North Waco.
Whether it's building houses or providing quality, informative programming to Central Texans, both Waco's Habitat for Humanity and 103.3 KWBU-FM depend on volunteers and donations to realize their missions. With the support of Foxworth Galbraith and the Waco community, individuals can make a profound donation to two local non-profit organizations with a single pledge of support to 103.3 KWBU-FM.

About Waco Habitat for Humanity
Since 1986, Waco Habitat has built 130 simple, decent, affordable homes in partnership with families in need, providing a hand up out of poverty housing to over 600 people. Habitat homeowners' mortgage payments are used to build more homes in our community. Qualifying partner families purchase Habitat homes at cost through a zero-interest loan and invest at least 300 hours of labor - sweat equity - by helping with construction and completing New Homeowners College. http://www.wacohabitat.org/
