This Tuesday, June 3, beginning at 6:00 pm, there will be a planned technology outage that will affect most Baylor systems and applications. Essential maintenance will be performed on the datacenter firewalls that require network cables to be moved to new hardware.
Between 6:00 pm and 7:00 pm, there will be no internet connectivity or access to servers in the data center.
After 7:00, systems and services will begin to be restored. ITS staff will be working to test the services as they are reestablished to insure all is working as expected. For several hours after 7:00, there may be short intermittent disruptions in service as the maintenance is completed.
The systems below are among those that will be affected by this outage. Note that this is not an exhaustive list.
BearCat and other libraries systems
Unified Advising System (UAS)
OsoMobile (Schedules, Grades, Holds)
Schedule of Classes system (Course Listings)
Most other applications, systems, and services that require data from University databases and servers.
All services are expected to be running smoothly without further intermittent interruptions by midnight. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the University’s technology infrastructure.
