Changing your BearID passwords is required every 180 days. This requirement helps protect our University's resources, as well as your personal information. (See Baylor ITS Password Policies.
) As a reminder, ITS sends a warning email notification 2 weeks before a password is set to expire and again at one week, if needed.
Beginning Monday, February 10, 2014, the email notification text will be different and will be sent from ITS, rather than the Help Desk. The subject will be the same: "BearID password soon to expire." We wanted to make you aware of these changes as many spam and phishing emails look incredibly legitimate. The message was modified and reformatted to make the process of changing your password easier to understand. The ITS website www.baylor.edu/its
was updated with a new "Reset Password" button (located in the center of our page) that will navigate you through the how, when, where and what steps of the process. The text of the official email is also provided so you can verify the email you received.
If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions, please contact the Baylor ITS HELP desk at (254) 710-4357.
