WACO, Texas - February 19 - University Libraries and Information Technology Services unveiled "TestDrive," a new feature on the first floor of Moody Library, which allows Baylor University students, faculty and staff to test some of the latest technologies.

Microsoft Office 2008 for Macintosh has arrived at the Baylor Bookstore. A personal copy for anyone with a valid Baylor ID card will be $15 plus tax. Please remember to bring your Baylor ID card with you.

We know this difficulty is inconveniencing many students, faculty, and staff, and that it is affecting the completion of assignments and as well as other Internet access.

The Baylor Bookstore is now taking orders for Microsoft Office 2008 for the Macintosh. The media should arrive in 2 to 4 weeks, but you may place your order today.

Server maintenance will be performed on the Blackboard servers beginning on Friday, February 8 at 10:00 p.m. to apply necessary system updates. There will be an interruption in access to Blackboard while the server is being updated. All services should be fully restored by 11:30 p.m. Friday evening.

Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac is now available to campus users. This new version is compatible with Office 2007 for Windows. It also brings some user-interface improvements and improved Exchange support in Entourage. It is a recommended upgrade for all Mac users.
