Throughout the day today, there have been intermittent problems with the Outlook email system. Technicians are working to resolve the problem. This affects email accounts of employees, as well as some students.
The Baylor University Electronic Library is introducing Blackboard 7, the newest version of the popular online teaching tool Blackboard. This new version provides both students and faculty with new features to enhance the learning experience. One of these new features is the ability to synchronize Blackboard courses with a program called Blackboard Backpack.
Maintenance will be performed on the BearCat Library System on Monday, January 9, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, in order to perform a software upgrade. Access to the BearCat Library System will be unavailable during this time.
Baylor's ITS Internet Services Jan. 4 launched an updated Baylor Home Page (http://www.baylor.edu) which includes several new features. The front page now features a web site search capability directly on the page, and a new link was added featuring resources for prospective faculty & staff.
The BearWeb and Banner systems, as well as all services related to Banner, will be unavailable beginning at 2:00PM Sunday, January 1. The required year-end system maintenance will be performed at this time. These services are expected to be available again sometime between 4:00 and 6:00PM.
