Starting with the fall 2005 semester, professors will have a new option for electronic submission of final class grades. This new method will allow class instructors to submit final grades from within the Blackboard system. The new process will move the submitted grades into the Banner Student Information System in a secure and timely manner.

Over the past 6 months, the HR Services team has revised our processes to make it possible for applicants to apply for multiple positions. Subsequent to this new service, internal and external candidates are now able to apply for up to three different positions simultaneously.

Beginning in October 2005, Human Resource Services plans to roll out a new web-based system that will replace the current personnel paperwork. This system will replace virtually all existing personnel forms including the FPAF/PAF, SPR, FPAR, PAQ, TPBA/FTPBA, PT/FPT.

Elluminate Live! is the newest system introduced by the Electronic Library this fall. "Elluminate Live! offers professors and students an easy-to-use, Web-conferencing tool for making presentations, delivering course content and collaborating online without telephone connections," announced Sandy Bennett, project manager for online teaching and learning services.

ITS-Internet Services and Purchasing today announce the availability of a direct link between the online course listings system and the Baylor Bookstore online textbook sales system.

The telephones in Truett and the Dutton Parking Garage are temporarily out of service, due to an electrical problem. This includes the Help Desk phones and the Baylor Operators. Technicians are working to correct this problem. Until corrected, please contact the Help Desk by email at helpdesk@baylor.edu.

ITS - Client Services announced on August 10, a new service - submitting your own Help Desk ticket. If you know that your technology issue will require assistance from an ITS trained technician, you can now submit the request yourself. Simply go to the ITS main web page and select "Submit Help Desk Ticket" from the left panel.

ITS-Internet Services Aug. 9 launched an upgrade to Baylor's Web Content Management System (CMS), bringing several highly anticipated features to content managers who maintain the majority of Baylor's public web presence.

The main campus PBX telephone system will be upgraded on Saturday August 6 beginning at 9:00 AM. All telephone services internally and externally will be affected by this outage. Voicemail and all menu/announcement services will not be available. The outage is expected not to exceed 8 hours and should be completed by 5:00 PM on Saturday. more..

The installations staff will be moving offices from Thursday, July 28th thru Wednesday, August 3rd.
