Course Specific Information:

1. COL Douglas A. Kersey Advanced Clinical & Operational Practice (ACOP): The target audience for this course is physical therapists (AD, Guard, Reserve, and IMA) with at least 2 years in service, physical therapists hard tasked to deploy or anticipating orders to a single therapist position, physical therapists returning to practice from career-broadening assignments, and physical therapists who have not attended the Kersey Course or Advanced Physical Therapy Course ’ OZO within the past 5 years.

This course can be substituted for the US Air Force Advanced Physical Therapy Course ("OZO") to meet USAF requirements for credentialing as Advanced Clinical Practitioner as outlined in AFI 44-119.

The USAF will provide central funding for 5 active duty physical therapists for this course. Additional unfunded training slots may be available for attendees from the local area and AD who can guarantee home unit funding for TDY. Guard, Reserve, and IMA physical therapists must procure home unit funding.

2. Joint Operational Deployment Course (JODC): The target audience for this course is for physical therapists (AD, Guard, Reserve, and IMA) assigned to UTC or targeted for an upcoming deployment.

The USAF will not provide central funding for this course. The USAF is typically allowed 5 seats for this course. Unfunded seats will be allocated to those attending from the local area and those (AD, Guard, Reserve, and IMA) that can procure home unit funding.

Application Process:

1. Active Duty Physical Therapist: Coordinate your desire to attend the course through MAJCOM Consultants and Maj Middel.

2. Guard, Reserve, and IMA Physical Therapist: Coordinate your desire to attend with your home unit and then Maj Middel.
