Prospective Students
Registered Occupational Therapist who are U.S. Citizens at least 21 years of age possessing a bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy with a cumulative undergraduate and graduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale); must have completed the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) with a minimum cumulative score of 1000/297 and must meet the U.S. Army medical and physical fitness standards.(If applicant possesses a bachelor's degree in OT, applicant must have earned at least 9 postprofessional clinical hours (post OT degree)
Obligations:- 60 months on active duty which includes training time and
- 36 months in the Individual Ready Reserve (inactive reserves)
The U.S. Army Doctor of Science in Occupational Therapy Program is an active duty Army program. Students who are interested in becoming commissioned officers in the U.S. Army may contact the Regional U.S. Army Health Care Recruiting Counselor in their geographical area. - The U.S. Army Doctor of Science Program in Occupational Therapy is a unique advanced clinical doctorate that includes 18 months of didactics, residencies, and clinical research.
- You will receive a free education.
- Tuition and fees are paid by the Army. In addition, we pay YOU!
- Students receive an average starting salary of approximately $42,000 per year while in school. You will receive FREE (complete) medical and dental coverage.
- You start accruing 30 days of paid vacation per year beginning on the first day you enter officer training.
- You will serve as a commissioned officer and occupational therapist in the Army Medical Specialist Corps upon graduation.
