Practicum Placements

Child & Family Studies students are required to complete a practicum experience as a part of their degree. Prior to enrolling in FCS 4390, Practicum in Family and Consumer Sciences, students must have completed the prerequisites FCS 2355 Child Development, FCS 3356 Theories of Family Development, FCS 4359 Parenting, and have the approval from an instructor. The practicum placement requires 150 clock hours of experience in an agency serving children/families, plus one hour weekly seminar.
