2010 Winners
Recognized at a ceremony on March 25, the prize winners were invited to read their work and receive award certificates and cash prizes. The prize winners also were invited to a luncheon with the Festival Poets.
The 2010 contest winners are:
JOHN MCENTIRE for "Mexican Standoff" won The Academy of American Poets Prize..
HANNAH MINICK for "The Monsoons Came" won the Virginia Beall Ball Poetry Prize
STEVEN PETERSHEIM for "A Farm Boy's Part" is the winner of The Poetry In The Arts, Inc., Dr. Robert G. Collmer Prize (the three Poetry in the Arts, Inc. prizes are given by Mrs. Peggy Lynch);
CLAIRE MONCLA for "At Dusk" is the winner of The Poetry in the Arts, Inc., Dr. James Barcus Prize;
JARED WHEELER for "Apologia" is the winner of The Poetry in the Arts, Inc., Mr. Kent H. Keeth Prize;
DUSTIN MORROW for "March 21 (Fairview, Mississippi)" is the winner of The House of Poetry Prize ;
JAMES D. WATSON for "An Anonymous Donor" (1st Place), NATHAN ROBERTS for "Holding Up the Chandelier" (2nd Place), and SCHON ALKIRE for "The Missing" (3rd Place), are the winners of the three Dorothy Scarborough Fiction Awards given by the Baylor Alumni Association.
