Lisa Shaver, Assistant Professor of English in the Professional Writing Program, received a Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric and Composition from Miami (Ohio) University, an M.A. in Professional Writing from KennesawStateUniversity, and a B.A. in English from HendrixCollege.

Lisa teaches courses in rhetoric and professional writing. Her research interests include women's rhetoric, history of rhetoric, writing across the curriculum, professional writing, and literacy studies. Her work has appeared in College English, Rhetoric Review, and the Journal of Business and Technical Communication.
