Center for International Education

Acknowledging that Baylor's sphere of influence is the world itself, the Center's efforts are toward "bringing" the world to Baylor and "sending" Baylor to the world. The Center seeks to ensure the most positive experiences possible for international students and faculty, and to emphasize to the larger University community the contributions of internationals to the diversity and richness of the student body. By actively seeking to create opportunities for international and American students to interact, the Center seeks to encourage the growth of tolerance, understanding, respect, and compassion. By facilitating, developing, and managing study abroad and exchange program opportunities for all students, the Center contributes to Baylor's efforts in attracting top students and in providing the richness of experience which is found as students' horizons are broadened beyond their immediate culture. By encouraging international opportunities for faculty and staff development, the Center seeks to encourage the "internationalization" of Baylor University.
