May more than one nomination be submitted by an institution?
Nominations are considered to be made by an individual rather than an institution; therefore, more than one person may be nominated from the same university. An individual nominator for each nominee is preferred.

Is a teacher from any discipline eligible to be considered for the award?
Nominations should correspond with academic units engaged in undergraduate teaching at Baylor.

Should the nominator submit both the summary statement and a letter of recommendation?
No, the nominator should write and submit only the summary statement. The letters of recommendation should come from others.

What format should be used for the recommendation letters?
The uploaded recommendation letters should be submitted as Word or pdf documents. Each letter should include the date, name and title and be a maximum of two pages in length.

Does the electronically submitted recommendation letter need to be signed and on letterhead?
Signatures are not being required. Letterhead is optional but date, name, position/school (if applicable), and city/state/country should be included.

Do all supporting documents need to be submitted by the November 3rd deadline?
The nomination form as well as all supporting documents (including letters of recommendation) should be submitted online by the November 3rd deadline.

Will nominators/nominees be notified when the nominee's file is complete?
No, but if there are any questions regarding the nominee's file, the nominator will be contacted.

When will notification of the committee's decision be received?
Nominees whose files will be advancing beyond the initial evaluation process will be selected in February 2009. Finalists will be named late in the spring of 2009. Nominators and nominees will be notified of the committee's decision at each stage of the selection process.

Will travel expenses be provided for the finalists?
Yes, travel expenses as well as accommodations and meals while at Baylor will be provided.

May a nominee be renominated for a future award?
The top thirty semi-finalists will be invited to keep his/her application on file for consideration in the next award cycle. They will be contacted after the award recipient is decided.
