On October 3, 2017, we will expand the protection that Duo provides to other campus information resources including Box, Canvas, Compass and more. Along with this extended coverage, the Duo login interface will undergo a design change so that access to all Baylor online resources will have the same look and feel.
Baylor’s newest solution for web conferencing, WebEx, is officially available for use within the Canvas learning management system. Touted as the industry standard application for web and video conferencing, WebEx replaces Blackboard Collaborate, offering synchronous, web-based, virtual classroom environments.
Several upcoming changes to the Canvas interface will bring enhancements to course home pages and will allow users to access their Office 365 content for course documents, assignments, and collaborations.
In May 2016, we implemented TurnItIn's LTI-based Canvas integration that requires users to create TurnItIn assignments using the "External Tool" submission type. This integration replaced the older "check box" based method of creating TurnItIn assignments. As many of you are aware, TurnItIn's LTI-based integration proved to be less reliable than the previously used approach, resulting in many submissions not being correctly pushed back to Canvas's SpeedGrader.
