John started to work at Baylor in June, 1999. John is married to his high school sweetheart, Pat. They have been married for thirty-five years. John and Pat have two children, Debra Lynn and John David of Waco. John has three grandsons: John Dillon (age 16), Traylor Lane (age 14) and Collin Chance (age 12).

In addition to his many duties with Campus Recreation, John is the ranch manager for T. Berry Brazelton of Boston. John has been a farmer and rancher for forty years.
