Women's Water Polo
#1. Are there tryouts for your team?
No, we do not hold tryouts.
#2. How many days and hours/week do you practice?
We practice 3 days a week, 2 of which are mandatory 6:30-8:30 Tues/Thurs and a free swim on Wednesday.
#3. Typically where are your games/practices held?
Games are at other universities such as UT, TAMU, UH, or Texas State. Practices are held at the Doris Miller YMCA on Forrest Street. Feel free to contact us for directions or to carpool
#4. What schools do you compete against? What league you're in?
We are a member of the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) and in the Texas Division. We compete against: UT, TAMU, Texas State, Rice, Texas Tech, and Trinity.
#5. When is your season? Do you practice in the off-season?
We compete with the men during their season in the fall, and then we compete in a women only season in the spring.
#6. Do students need experience to join?
No experience is necessary! Knowing how to swim helps, but is not required. We will teach you everything you need to know!
#7. What are the dues for your club?
Dues are $200 a year.
