International students can register for classes only if they have obtained an I-20 to study at Baylor. After you receive your I-20, notify the Office of International Students and Scholar Services to lift the registration hold.
If you have a hold on your student account, you should be able to identify the type of hold through your BearWeb account. New students often have a hold because personal information is incomplete. Personal data such as date of birth, ethnicity and religion are needed by Baylor for reporting purposes but were not required during the application process. Baylor never releases individual statistics to any outside entity. Statistics are ALWAYS summarized when provided to outside entities.
Texas state law also requires all entering students to show proof of a meningococcal vaccination. You will have a hold on your account and be unable to register until you provide Health Services with proof of your vaccination. If you have not had the vaccine, please allow a minimum of two weeks to complete the approval process once the vaccine has been given. Details are available here.
Students follow a specific degree plan throughout their graduate program at Baylor.
Course reference numbers (CRNs) are assigned to each course. You will use a CRN rather than a course number to register for a course in BearWeb.
Students can access required textbook information on BearWeb. After registering, select the "get books" option to see required textbooks. If no textbooks show under a specific course, professors will share any required materials with you either prior to or on the first day of class.
Baylor's web-based course management system is called Blackboard. It allows instructors to make course materials and resources available to students, i.e. syllabus and course assignments. Once you register for courses, you will have access to each course in Blackboard. https://my.baylor.edu
