MBA students participate in an off-campus educational experience, as part of their Career Development courses. Faculty from various disciplines travel with the students, challenging them to seek the most out of the experience. The interaction between students and faculty outside the classroom strengthens your educational journey at Baylor.
MBA Leadership Summit:
New York City, NY
During the one-week trip, students meet with corporate leaders from top financial companies and highly-rated speakers from successful entrepreneurial companies. They also participate in a case study and a community service event, where they apply classroom learning to real world problems.
Students spend one day working in small groups to partner with a specific company to work on a case study. The respective companies identify specific issues they are facing and ask the students to analyze the situation and to provide ideas on how to resolve the issue.
Previous partnering companies included Adecco, Aviva Investors, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, and Samlyn Capital.
We believe in giving back wherever we travel. While in New York City, students volunteer their time and business knowledge with students at Defy Ventures , a non-profit that provides carefully selected, ambitious men who have criminal histories with life-changing entrepreneurship, leadership, and career opportunities.
Dinner and Political Debate
Students enjoy dinner with two political strategists, followed by a debated between Bay Buchanan and Peter Fenn. The conversations spark lively discussions among the students.
