Keller Center Seeks PR Intern for 2013-2014

Baylor's Keller Center for Research is looking to hire an undergraduate PR intern for 2013-2014.

Position

Baylor's Keller Center for Research is housed in the Hankamer School of Business. The Center highlights leading-edge, academic research positioned for the real estate industry through its quarterly-distributed journal, the Keller Center Research Report.

The 2013-2014 PR Intern will assist the Center by intensifying public relations activities on the Center's website, across university channels, and other marketing mediums through press releases and social media updates.

Responsibilities

The 2013-2014 PR Intern will be expected to compose 4 press releases each semester (8/year) and maintain weekly social media updates for the Center. Topics and schedules will be discussed at the start of each semester.

The internship will require ~30 hours of work (about an hour a week) over the course of the academic year.

Portfolio-builder, Resume-builder and Reference-builder (Executive Director will serve as a reference for jobs and/or graduate school).

Requirements

  • Relevant area of study preferred (Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, etc.)
  • Strong communication/writing skills (writing sample required)
  • Willingness to work hard and be professional
  • Required minimum GPA of 3.0
