Dr. Rishi Sriram, assistant professor of educational administration, presented "Development, Validity, and Reliability of a National Survey of Student Affairs Professionals" at the annual meeting of the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE), held Nov. 15, 2012 in Las Vegas; "More than words: Skills required for successful collaborations," co-authored by Ah Ra Cho, University of North Texas, and "The doctoral journey: What you should know from start to finish" co-presented with Dr. Logan Hazen, University of Rochester, and Dr. Jenny Bloom, University of South Carolina, at the annual meeting for the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), held March 18 in Orlando, Fla.

Cheryl Tucker and Nan Ketcham, lecturers in nursing, presented "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow: A Virtual Clinical Practicum Mother-Baby Case Study" at 2012 Elsevier/Mosby's Faculty Development Institute Jan. 3 in Las Vegas; "The Changing Face of Health Care: An integrated, multi-community clinical practicum to promote and maintain the health of vulnerable populations within the community," an accelerated BSN program case study, at the 2012 American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) Baccalaureate Education Conference: Changes and Challenges in Baccalaureate Nursing Education Nov. 16, 2012, in San Antonio.

Dr. Marley W. Watkins, professor and Chair of educational psychology presented "Psychometric evaluation of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-Fourth Edition," co-authored by Dr. Jason M. Nelson, University of Georgia, and Dr. Gary L. Canivez, Eastern Illinois University, and "Latent class analysis of the Homework Problems Questionnaire parent scale," co-authored by Dr. Kara M. Styck, part-time lecturer in educational psychology, at National Association of School Psychologists, held February 2013 in Seattle.

Dr. Matthew Wood, assistant professor of management and entrepreneurship, presented "The Cognitive Processes Underpinning Entrepreneurial Action" and "Individual Level Determinates of the Transition from Third to First-Person Opportunity Beliefs," at the 2012 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management held August 2011 in San Antonio; "Seeing the Forest and Trees: Opportunity Evaluation as Rule-Based Processing" at the Proceedings of the 2012 Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference held June 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Dr. Jeong-Ju "Jay" Yoo, assistant professor of family and consumer sciences, and Dr. Won-Moo Hur, Pukyong University, presented "Cross-Cultural Examination of Body-Tanning Behaviors Among Female College Students in the United States and South Korea: The Tanning Effect on Body and Life Satisfaction" at the International Textiles and Apparel Association, held Nov. 14-16 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Yoo also presented "The Joint Effect of Private Self-Consciousness and Self-Monitoring on Luxury Fashion Brand Consumption Behavior," co-authored by Dr. Hye-Young Kim, University of Minnesota.

Dr. Mary C. Brucker, professor of nursing, and Dr. Donna LoSasso, assistant professor of nursing, were named in the 25 Outstanding College Professors in Nursing from Online Nursing Schools.

Dr. Michael B. Frisch, professor of psychology and neuroscience, was named to the editorial board of Applied Research in Quality of Life from the International Society for Quality of Life Studies as recognition for scholarship in positive psychology.

Dr. Grant B. Morgan, assistant professor of educational psychology, received the 2013 Outstanding Paper Award from the Southwest Educational Research Association on Feb. 18 for distinguished scholarship.

Dr. Daniel Nodes, professor and Chair of classics, was appointed to the editorial board of Institutiones from Edizioni Citt Nuova di Roma, Brepols Publishers, on Jan. 11 for a record of publication in late antique, medieval and renaissance thought and letters.

Dr. Roger E. Olson became the Foy Valentine Chair of Christian Ethics from Baylor University in January.

Dr. Cheryl Ann Riley, coordinator of the neonatal nurse practitioner program, received DNP Excellence Award from Creighton University on Dec. 14, 2012. The award is presented to the DNP student who demonstrates excellence in advanced practice.
