Student Options Following a Sexual Assault

Services Available To Survivors Of Sexual Assault

On-campus services:
Counseling services available by staff psychologist 710-2467
Medical assistance available through medical personnel at the Health Center 710-2461
Educational and resource information available through Health Education and Wellness 710-3520

All services are available to enrolled students. Records are confidential. The Counseling Center works by appointment Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Appointments are not required for the Health Center. The Health Center and Counseling Center personnel are available for emergencies after regular office hours. No fee is required at the time of service. Health Services are closed during academic breaks, and students are advised to contact mental health resources in their hometowns. In Waco, students may call 752-7233 Advocacy Center for Crime Victims and Children or 752-3451 MHMR Emergency Services.

Off-campus services are also available to Baylor students through private organizations.

Academic And Living Accommodations

If requested, the University will make any changes in academic and living situations reasonably available in assisting victims of sexual assault. Options may include but are not limited to change of residence hall room, University phone number, or class schedule.
