Studio Art

What it's all about

The BA degree in studio art is a general liberal arts degree that provides exposure to each of the seven studio areas offered by the Department of Art. This foundation degree is desirable to students certain of their interest in art but not yet decided on a field of concentration or students wishing to pursue general background for a more advanced degree.

You might take classes such as:

• Figure Drawing
• History of Art I
• Art Theory and Criticism

Graduates of this major go on to careers as:

• graphic designers
• artists
