2009-12 Master Plan

October 2, 2013

The 2009 and 2012 Master Plans reflect the university's growing footprint -- in 2009, from the river south to 12th Street and from I-35 east to LaSalle, and by 2012, across the river. The campus design also became much more walkable in these plans, with green space more appropriately spread around the east side of campus.

In these plans, the building behind Sid Richardson became the hoped-for new student union building, as the business school moved to its new home on Bagby Avenue between 3rd and 4th streets (where construction is now slated to begin this winter). A shifted sciences annex and a newly placed engineering building opened up additional green space near the McLane SLC.

The 2012 plan remained largely unchanged, with the exception of three major additions on the north side of the Brazos River: the Baylor Research and Innovation Collaborative (BRIC), Baylor Stadium, and a new Baylor track facility.
