Carr P. Collins ScholarshipThe Carr P. Collins Scholars Program was established in 1993 to recognize and reward students who have demonstrated leadership and service, and through the gift of higher education, to develop leaders for tomorrow. With a $2 million grant from the Carr P. Collins Foundation of Dallas, Texas, Baylor University will award scholarships annually to students who demonstrate leadership through service.
To be considered for the program, applicants must: meet all University requirements for unconditional admission; have a minimum 1250 (combined critical reading and math) on the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) or a minimum 28 on the American College Test (ACT); have completed a balanced college preparatory program including history, science and a foreign language; be in the top quarter of their graduating class; and be a resident of the state of Texas.

A resume of your honors, awards, achievements and extracurricular activities To be considered for the Carr P. Collins Scholars Program, the completed application must be postmarked by January 31.
Collins Scholars are awarded $4,350 each year, renewable for four years. Selection for the Collins scholarship is highly competitive; less than 3% of those who apply are selected. Collins Scholars must maintain a 3.0 grade point average, satisfactory progress toward a degree, and continued dedication to leadership and service.
Recipients will participate in a program of civic or community service approved by Baylor University for one semester during each year they are a designated Collins Scholar. They will attend special seminars designed for the program, as well as an annual dinner held in their honor. Collins Scholars will maintain a relationship with Baylor and Carr P. Collins Scholars Program to mentor future scholarship recipients and illustrate the program's positive results.
