Research Activity

During the 18-month program residents are required to identify quality research questions and conduct original research with guidance from the faculty and the KACH Department of Orthopaedic Research. The residents receive training human subjects research, perform thorough scientific literature reviews, independently submit Institutional Review Board (IRB) research proposals, and act as primary investigator for their project. At the conclusion of their research, the residents are required to prepare a publishable manuscript to be submitted to a sports physical therapy journal.
