Tour the FacilitiesThe School of Music currently is housed in two facilities - the McCrary Music Building and the Waco Hall complex. McCrary Music BuildingHoused within the multilevel 70,000 square-foot Glennis McCrary Music Building are the 1,000-seat Mary Gibbs Jones Concert Hall, 200-seat Meadows Lecture/Recital Hall, and the Markham Organ studio/recital hall.
The building features 78 practice rooms, 6 percussion practice rooms, a MIDI lab, large and small ensemble rehearsal rooms, four rooms for chamber music and seminars, as well as studio and office spaces for the ensemble conductors and the wind, percussion, string and organ faculty. An extensive library of orchestra, band and chamber music is housed adjacent to the faculty studios.
Waco Hall Complex![]() In addition to the 2500-seat Waco Hall, the Waco Hall complex contains 500-seat Roxy Grove Hall, 120-seat Recital Hall II, piano labs, and numerous classrooms, offices, and studios for keyboard, vocal and academic faculty. A. Guy Crouch Music and Fine Arts LibraryThe Crouch Music and Fine Arts Library, adjacent to the McCrary Music Building on the third floor of the Moody Memorial Library contains extensive audio, video, online, and print collections. Facilities include listening and viewing stations, seminar rooms, study areas, and the 12-station METALab computer laboratory. The Crouch Library's special collections include a wide array of rare and unique materials including medieval music manuscripts, early American tune books, papers of modern educators, manuscripts of contemporary composers, and an extensive collection of historic popular sheet music.
Armstrong Browning LibraryThe Armstrong Browning Library is a research library devoted to the study of the lives and works of the Victorian poets, Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning. It houses the world's largest collection of books, manuscripts, and memorabilia pertaining to the Brownings, as well as a substantial collection of materials on and from the Victorian era. The School of Music presents a select number of concerts in the beautiful environment of the ABL Foyer of Meditation and the ABL Treasure Room. Visit the Armstrong Browning Library Website
Technology CentersBaylor School of Music is committed to providing outstanding technology resources for use by students and faculty alike.
