National Geographic MAPS: Tools for Adventure
The Mayborn Museum Complex is pleased to announce their 2008 summer traveling exhibit. National Geographic MAPS: Tools for Adventure, a new international traveling exhibit from The Children's Museum of Indianapolis and the National Geographic Society, will be on display in the Thomas E. and Emilyne Weed Anding Traveling Exhibit Gallery at the museum from June 1 through September 7, 2008.

Going to Texas
Watch Texas history unfold in this fascinating exhibit of historic Texas maps. The maps range from 1548 to 2006 and cover a wide span of Texas and U.S. history, from the Louisiana Purchase to modern railroads and interstates.

Junior Duck Stamp Art
The Mayborn Museum Complex is proud to serve as one of only eleven locations throughout the United States showcasing the Junior Duck Stamp Art "Best of Show" artwork! See this inspired exhibit during its limited viewing September 26 - October 25, 2007 in the Upstairs Train Rotunda.

Study Abroad Photo Contest - 2008
Photos from Baylor's International Student and Scholar Services Study Abroad Photo Contest will be on display in the upper cafe of the Mayborn Museum Complex until February 5th.

International Christmas Trees
The Mayborn Museum Complex will be dressed up for the holidays with "Christmas from Around the World" trees gracing the upper level of the rotunda.

Bones: An Exhibit Inside You
Have you ever wondered what keeps your body upright? Then come see Bones: An Exhibit Inside You™, an exciting exhibit from the Children's Museum of Indianapolis that will be on exhibition at the Mayborn Museum Complex in Waco from October 27, 2007 through February 17, 2008.

All Aboard the Mayborn Express!
The Mayborn Museum Complex invites you to hop aboard the Mayborn Express! Eight model train sets will be on exhibit from Saturday, December 9th to Wednesday, December 20th, thanks to the Central Texas Area Model Railroaders. Operating layouts of eight scale model train sets will include elaborate scenes of bridges and trestles, cities and towns, and depict both the past and present. Click here for more information.

Wrapped in Tradition: The Chihuly Collection of American Indian Trade Blankets
"Wrapped in Tradition" is a traveling exhibit organized by Chihuly Studio of Seattle, Washington and will be on display through August 18, 2007 in the Thomas E. and Emilyne Weed Anding Traveling Exhibit Gallery.

The exhibition features 15 glass "Blanket Cylinders" by Dale Chihuly, who was first inspired by Navajo handmade textiles, and then began to collect machine-produced blankets made for European-American Indian trade. Today, Chihuly is known as a pioneer of American Studio Glass as well as for being a contemporary artist who creates monumental glass sculpture and environments.

Feathered Treasures: Ceremonial Objects of the Amazon
The Mayborn Museum Complex is pleased to announce our upcoming traveling exhibition. Feathered Treasures: Ceremonial Objects of the Amazon will grace the Anding Traveling Exhibit Gallery from May 21 – August 20, 2006. This beautiful and unusual exhibition comes to the Mayborn from the Houston Museum of Natural Science and features head dresses, masks, breastplates, full-body costumes, and other items made by indigenous tribes found deep in the Amazon rain forest.

Wings Across America Presents: Fly Girls of WWII
Wings Across America presents: Fly Girls of WWII Exhibit that honors a brave group of young women that flew military aircraft during World War II. They were known as the WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots) and played an important, but largely forgotten role in American history. Learn about their invaluable contributions through this exhibition in the Baylor area from September 15, 2007 through April 1, 2008.

A Stitch in Time
This exhibit showcases 7 patch-worked quilts selected from the Mayborn permanent collection. "A Stitch in Time" traces the history of the quilting tradition from hand sewing to early use of the sewing machine. The exhibit will be on display from April 14 through July 17, 2007 in the Baylor History area of the museum.

The Man and the Museum
The Man and the Museum exhibit focuses on the field work, collections, and research of John K. Strecker, for which the Baylor University Museum was renamed and which later became part of the Mayborn Museum Complex. This historical exhibition will be on display from April 10 - 24, 2007 in Strecker's Cabinets of Curiosities room at the Mayborn Museum Complex.

Zuhl Collection of Petrified Tree Cross Sections
The Mayborn is pleased to present the Zuhl Collection of Petrified Tree Cross Sections, an exhibit on loan courtesy of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. The exhibit will be on display from March 10 through September 25, 2007.

Ancient Microworlds
The Mayborn Museum is pleased to present a rare look into Ancient Microworlds. The exhibit will be on display from March 10 through September 25, 2007.

Martin Luther King Jr. Exhibit
The Road to the Promised Land: Martin Luther King Jr. & The Civil Rights Movement - Contemporary Perspectives

Consisting of 20 framed panels, this exhibit surveys the Civil Rights Movement from the mid-1950's to the present day, including the Montgomery bus boycott of 1955.

Images of Myth and Reality: Texas and the South
A black and white photography exhibit entitled "Images of Myth and Reality: Texas and the South," is on display until January 25th. The display will be comprised of more than 20 photographs taken by Dr. Clark Baker, chairman of the Department of Journalism at Baylor.

50 Years of Powwow
Baylor University's Mayborn Museum Complex is proud to host Fifty Years of Powwow, a photography exhibit from the Field Museum, produced in partnership with the American Indian Center of Chicago.

Study Abroad Photo Contest - 2005
Winning photos from the International Student and Scholar Services' Study Abroad Photo Contest will be displayed at the Mayborn Museum November 7th through the beginning of the new year.

From Sea to Shining Sea: 200 Years of America's Coast Survey Exhibit
Direct from the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service and NOAA, the Mayborn is pleased to offer you a special poster exhibit: From Sea to Shining Sea: 200 Years of America's Coast Survey. This 20-poster set will be on display from June 21 to September 18, 2007 in the upstairs gallery.

Study Abroad Photo Contest - 2007
Study Abroad Photo Exhibit features captivating photos from Baylor's International Student and Scholar Services Study Abroad Photo Contest, which will be on display in the 2nd floor cafe until January 3.

Baylor Basketball - Past and Present
Currently on display in the Baylor History hallway is memorabilia from Baylor's basketball past. Included are items from last year's Lady Bear's National Championship along with trophies from earlier conference championships.

Heart Gallery Exhibit
A project of the Adoption Coalition of Texas and CASA organizations across Central Texas, the Heart Gallery of Central Texas is both an art exhibit and community education effort. The Heart Gallery features professional portraits by renowned documentary and portrait photographers of children in foster care who are waiting to be adopted. The Heart Gallery has traveled all across Texas, and the Mayborn Museum Complex is proud to bring this exhibition to Waco.

Presidential Retreat Traveling Exhibit

Duval Collection of Gems and Minerals
The Mayborn Museum Complex is proud to present the Duval Collection, a world-renowned collection of mineral specimens. Breathtaking examples of turquoise, selenite, native copper, amethyst, and quartz varieties, among many others, will be on display in the Thomas E. and Emilyne Weed Anding Traveling Exhibit Hall of the Harry and Anna Jeanes Discovery Center from May 22 through August14, 2005.

Leonardo da Vinci Machines in Motion Exhibit
Experience the genius of Leonardo da Vinci through forty machines based on his visionary designs.

Baylor Round Table Exhibit
The Mayborn Museum has a display of objects from the 105 year history of the Baylor Round Table.

Leonardo's Workshop
Leonardo's Workshop is a hands-on area for our visitors to explore Leonardo's designs.

Baylor University Honors Program Exhibit
