At Baylor's 2009 Homecoming celebration, there were four new historical markers added to the Baylor campus. These markers were the culmination of work done by History graduate students for a Public History seminar. Under the guidance of Dr. Michael Parrish, the Linden G. Bowers Professor of American History (pictured at right), graduate students researched in order to submit a narrative and application for the markers to be placed.
